The graceful Black Swan, which are famous for their faithfulness to their lovers,
is the official bird of West Australia. They are largely monogamous, pairing for life.
It is said that if one member of the couple passed away first, the living one would accompany by its side, wailing to death.

It is one of this devoted breed of swan that fell in love,
with a plastic pedal boat shaped like a swan.
This black swan Peter arrived at Aesee Lake in the north-west
German city of Munster a few months ago and showed all the
typical signs of love for his species - circling his plastic lover,
staring longingly at it and making crooning noises. What's more,
if other swan-shaped boat got too close to his paramour, the black
bird would puff up its feathers and hoots at it.
He companied her every day for the last six months, except his two-day sick leave.
Now the winter is coming and it's getting cold, but Peter refused to leave his beloved.
Experts had no choice but to move his plastic lover, then he followed to some
warmer place.

Why one would fall for another? Some attribute it to look; some attribute it to scent.
On my part, I think human prefer to follow their eyes while animal to scent,
since hunman being do not have a keen sense of smell. Some people say that
they are familiar and fond of their lovers's scent and identify it among many.
I have no idea whether it's true or not, but in this case, black swan Peter definitely
did not find his angel by scent. Then is it look?
